« Knitting is one of my hobbies after skiing. Mum taught me the art »
«At first I was knitting for me and I soon enjoyed doing it for my family.
My brother Jean-Baptiste asked me to do the same headband as mine: first it was white and many others until the blue one of the 2007/2008 season.
For the 2009 World Series in Val d'Isère, Jean-Bat and I decided to make the blue white red band. He left with it to Beaver Creek (Colorado) and shortly after I received a text from Ju Lizeroux asking me if I could knit him the same one. I ended up knitting blue white red headbands for much of the French National team. »
Alexia Grange
« jean-bat »’s Little sister »
Since the headband knitted by Alexia has become a real talisman for Jean-Baptiste and Julien. Following numerous requests from fans and ski lovers at the Grange family store in Valloire (Savoie - France), the original band is now available for sale.
No need for explanation. Drapo (which means Flag in French) describes the national colors knitted on Julien and Jean-Baptiste headbands. And in the local Savoie dialect, "Drapô" means flag. Simple.
